DESCRIPTION OF COMPANY

Dansk Psykologisk Forlag - founded 40 years ago - is the only comprehensive psychological test publishing firm in Denmark.

Our business objective can be summarised as follows:

  • We aim to develop, produce, publish and sell psychological tests and other materials used by psychologists, or professionals working under the responsibility of a psychologist, together with books and material concerning education and psychological research.
  • Our specific object is to use the money gained from our operations to research and develop new test materials and spread psychological knowledge in Danish society.
The company is run by a council with representatives from psychological associations and working psychologists.

The company has a permanent staff of eleven people: a managing director and two editors - both psychologist -, a chief accountant, secretaries and sales staff.

MAIN AREAS OF BUSINESS

Over the last ten years the company has expanded and is now - besides the main producer of psychological tests - one of the main publishers of psychological books and journals in Denmark. The company is the only producer, adapter, and distributor of most clinical tests and instruments and all psychological tests for children. Furthermore the company has developed a large battery of educational tests widely applied in the Danish school system.

As from 1993 the company has been developing its vocational testing operations, firstly by publishing material developed in Denmark and other Scandinavian countries and subsequently by adapting some bigger international instruments.
