Center za psihodiagnostična sredstva (Centre for Psychodiagnostic Instruments) is the leading test publisher in Slovenia. It was founded in 1977 as part of a government agency. It became independent in 1989 and has been operating as a private company ever since.
The company’s mission is to develop, produce and distribute psychological and other related assessment materials and to qualify their users. It also aims to enhance the reputation of the psychological profession and psychological assessment by informing the public and ensuring the transfer of knowledge. High ethical and scientific standards and the sensitisation of customers to their rights and responsibilities as test users are paramount in their work. Their activities include:
- development and/or adaptation of foreign or original Slovenian tests
- development of customised tests;
- publishing, marketing and distribution of tests;
- training and consultations for test users;
- assessment and consultancy in the field of organisational and educational psychology.
The company offers more than 80 tests developed or adapted for Slovenian culture and operates its own online testing platform – TESTrešuj. The tests they publish include developmental and educational tests, intelligence tests, personality tests, clinical tests, vocational tests and others. They are intended for many different professional users such as psychologists, pedagogues/teachers, special education teachers, speech therapists, career planners, etc.
